It is anticipated that most household will have to have a STB before the year 2010.

China Leads The Game
"China is currently an ideal place to produce low-cost product; and companies manufacturing set-top boxes in China are selling them both domestically and in export markets, such as Southeast Asia, India, the Middle East, and Russia. Anticipating growth from both export and domestic markets, many Chinese set-top box manufacturers are in the process of expanding, or have already expanded, their digital set-top box production capacity" - IMS Research.
